Scottish view

Panorama view

View from a scottish mountain.

I've not had proper internet access for ages but we're now staying near Ullapool on the west coast. When the midges aren't around it's lovely. We went for a walk yesterday up Stac Pollaidh and the views were stunning!

The sun is shining

And it's a beautiful day we're sat on a lovely beach with hardly anyone else here. Great holiday so far.

Wednesday

Today I've mended a loo seat, made soup, gone for a run up a hill, had lunch and read lots of a good book. This is of me top of a nearby hill.

Really nasty wind against us all the way here but we did it and Brian has come all the way from Weymouth.

Lots of hills

Day 6 - Fort Augusta

Chippy lunch sat in sunshine next to the Caledonian canal where it enters Loch Ness.

Day 5 - Tired feet

Resting outside a pub in Glencoe with a very nice pint of beer and a gorgeous view.

Day 5 - Let's go shopping!

Whilst Brian and I are headed for Glencoe the girls do some shopping in Stirling. According to Eloise the New Look is better than the one in Manchester.

Day 4

This is the view from the top of Tak Ma Doon Rood. A big hill between Airdrie and Stirling

Day 3 - end of the day!

Tired out after an 85 mile ride.

Day 3 - Light breaks out over New Lanark

It was quite a hard ride that day but nice to see this burst of sunlight.

Day 3 - Carlisle to New Lanark

This is Brian displaying the Ecclefechan Tart that he has just bought in the local shop in Ecclefechan. It was Ecclefechan good!

Day 2 - our accomodation

Sunday night and we were staying in a camping barn alongside Hadrian's Wall.

Day 2 - the puncture problem

Michaela got a puncture and had to have help from the locals. This is Jane who leaped to assist.

Day 2 - a bit wetter!

Here's a very wet Michaela.

Day 1 Brian learns to ride a bike

You'd have thought that after more than 300 miles Brian would have learnt to ride the bike by now!

Time warp time Day 1 from Salford

This is Michaela relaxing in Whalley at lunchtime with a nice read of the Sports pages.

Lounge in the youth hostel

Perhaps a little bit grand.

Tonight's accomodation

Co-op number 2

Co-op number 1

There appear to be rival co-ops on different sides of the road here in Beauly

Beauly

15 miles done so far today. We've done a couple of good hills. The sun is shining come all is well with the world.

80 miles today and here we are

Just having a well deserved beer in Glencoe. Lovely!

Awesome!

Brian and fast flowing water

Reward

Done 25 miles before 10 and stopped for a cup of tea and a macaroni cheese pie. Yes it really does exist and was delicious! Scenery gorgeous. We're at Strathyre.

The road to Glencoe

My scary keys!

Yesterday i walked around Stirling with the girls which was very nice. When we got back to the car i had no keys. Panic! Everything was locked in the car, including the spare car key! I had to retrace my journey, looking and asking. Finally Kayla checked the cafe we went in first and they were waiting for us. Huge relief! Brian and Kayla had a good ride here too today.

Tired legs

These legs cycled 85 miles and the knees are playing up a bit. The ride was good though and so was the beer at the end!
